Thought I would send along a few more pictures of our new home at The Landings. Our architect designed it as a "contemporary" home and it really turned out terrific.
As well, our builders, Boyden Construction (Bill and Boy Boyden) did a sensational job and have built a large number of homes at The Landings through the years and are regarded as among the best builders in the entire area. Not only did they do a sensational job, but they were terrific to work with and really focus on the wishes of the clients.

Country Club ~ Looking Out on the 9th Tee
The initiation fee is $5,000 and family membership is $275 per month. The community is in an area of very good schools. Therefore, we have a mixture of retired executives and young families. A nice lifestyle. Our home is on the 9th tee and homes range from $200,000 to four million. This area is a well-kept secret because most people think further south for the winter so we have few tourists. We play year-round and there have not been any weeks, even in the winter, when we don't get out on the course. The Capitol of Florida and two universities are in the town, which add much to the excitement of living here. It is very southern in the lifestyle rather than Florida.--Betty and Phil Sellers

Country Club ~ Life on the 13th Tee
The second one is from our deck and shows one of the unique sunsets we see overlooking the tee box of the 13th hole on Ptarmigan’s Jack Nicklaus-designed course. Ptarmigan is located about one mile east of I-25, right next to a wonderful small town called Windsor that is also home to another beautiful golf community, Water Valley.
Our home, which was built in 1995, is located within a gated neighborhood called Nicklaus Estates. Homes range from $400,000 to $2 million and both patio homes and estate-type homes are offered. A large part of the community is home to older and well-to-do "empty nesters," but there are quite a few younger lawyers, physicians and executives of companies located in the nearby small cities of Loveland, Fort Collins, Greely and Boulder. Ptarmigan just went private and has an initiation fee of $10,000 and $250 monthly dues—quite the steal compared to the fees and dues in Denver-area private courses that can be many times higher. We paid $605,000 for our home about three years ago, and is currently valued between $700,000 to $800,000. There are some wonderful homes available here, and some lots are still available. A lot just sold across from our cul-de-sac for about $75,000 and I believe that some of the other available lots run in the $100,000s. --Rick and Tobi Synder ~ The Currituck Club

Gus's new home features a hot tub and is close to the beach access and is just a short walk to the Magnolia Bay community swimming pool and tennis courts. It is available for rent.
