A River Runs...
Few private golf communities have a backdrop like Aspen Glen.
Breath-taking views greet you both high and low. Begin with
the magnificent, snow-capped, 12,953-foot-high peak of Mt.
Sopris. Then while your spirits are still soaring with that
view, move down to the exhilarating Roaring Fork River (it
does, indeed, run through it), which has a world-wide
reputation for its Gold-Medal trout and fly-fishing areas.

Get ready for Gold-Medal trout and fly-fishing areas.
Top this abundance off with an award winning golf course
layout co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II and
you have the ingredients for a special community.

Mt. Sopris provides golfers a memorable backdrop.
Located in Carbondale, Colorado, Aspen Glen is just 31 miles
from the renowned town of Aspen and 66 miles from Vail. It
sits at an elevation of 6,000 feet, which makes the air
invigorating and your golf shots 5-15 yards longer (another
good reason to live here). The elevation is nearly 2,000 feet
lower than Aspen, making for moderate temperatures and an
extended golf season.
The Roaring Fork River
The Roaring Fork River is an integral and much appreciated
part of the community. In addition to providing fly-fishing, its
winding path through Aspen Glen presented the designers of the
golf course with the opportunity to put half of the course’s
holes along the riverfront.

The winding Roaring Fork River fronts half of the golf holes.
A richly soiled river valley stretches out on both sides of the
layout and, along with the surrounding mountain peaks, red clay
bluffs and dramatic elevation changes, creates a course that is a
true pleasure to play.
Resident Mark Norris, a general contractor who built his own
house here sums it up best: "We have the best of all worlds
here. The milder climate means we can play golf almost eight
months out of the year, we’re within an hour of some great ski
resorts, we’re getting great amenities and we have unbelievable
views."

Nicklaus Family Golf
Jack Nicklaus & son Jack Nicklaus II co-designed Aspen Glen,
a private, championship, 18-hole Nicklaus/Nicklaus II golf
course that is complemented by a pro-shop, logo and retail
shop, indoor practice and teaching room, and snack bar.
The 25,000-square-foot, western-style lodge clubhouse has
everything you need to keep in shape and enjoy life. Amenities
include formal and private dining rooms, lounge, locker rooms,
fitness and aerobic center, weight room, four tennis courts, a
Jr. Olympic-size swimming pool, a hot tub, children's play area
and programs, and an active social program. A sunken bar in the
lounge offers breathtaking views of Mt. Sopris.

The western-style lodge clubhouse offers dining, fitness,
tennis, swimming and more.
The practice facilities are generous with a 16-acre practice
area including range, target greens, two-tiered teeing area,
over-sized fairway width area, chip and sandtrap green with sand
bunkers, a 10,000-square-foot putting green, and a separate
private lesson area.
Real Estate Options
As a planned community, Aspen Glen reflects such a close
attention to low-density that it only has one homesite per 1.46
acre. Neighbors won’t be looking at each other’s backyards here;
instead they’ll be looking out over fairway, river, mountain
and/or valley vistas.

Existing home overlooking a lake and the 16th fairway.
More than half (53 percent) of the property’s total 938 acres
is dedicated to recreation and open space. Furthermore, a
proposed equestrian center will be adjacent to more than 2,000
acres of public lands for trail riding, hiking and mountain
biking.
Real estate options include single-family residences and
estates, custom homes, townhomes and cottages. Owners have
access to the private fishing ponds at Coryell Ranch just across
the river.
Homesites range from 1/4 acre to 2 acres and are priced at
$135,000 to $1,195,000. Townhomes are 2,300 to 3,800 square
feet, $620,000 to $895,000, and single-family homes vary from
2,326 to 6,500 square feet, $885,000 to $3.2 million.

The 18-hole course was co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack
Nicklaus II.
