About the Area
Bright’s Creek Golf Club is tucked in the mountains but not far at all from cultural centers and natural wonders. Theatrical performances take place at the Flat Rock Playhouse in Flat Rock, The Tryon Arts Center in Tryon, the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville

Historic Biltmore Village holds an annual Dickens Festival, transforming itself into a quaint Victorian village with concerts, refreshments, horsedrawn carriage rides, and
strolling entertainers in period costumes.

Connemara, the Carl Sandburg Home, is a National Historic Site receiving visitors from all over the U.S. The Asheville Symphony Orchestra performs classical programs regularly. Fly fishing on the French Broad River is another local highlight. An guide company, Davidson River Outfitters, can arrange instruction and lead outings.

From Greenville & Spartanburg, SC:

  • Follow I-26 West toward Asheville
  • Take exit 67 to top of ramp and take 2nd exit off traffic circle
  • Take immediate right onto US 74 East
  • Take exit 163 and turn left at bottom of ramp onto NC 108
  • Proceed four miles toward Columbus/Mill Spring
  • Turn left at a flashing yellow light onto NC 9
  • Proceed 100 yards and turn left onto Silver Creek Road
  • Follow for 5.5 miles to Palmer Road
  • Turn left on Palmer and follow to Bright’s Creek Golf Club
From Hendersonville and Asheville:
  • Proceed on I-26 East and take exit 67 Tryon/Rutherfordton
  • After exiting, go 1.5 miles on US 74E to exit 163
  • Turn left at bottom of ramp onto NC 108
  • Proceed on 108 approximately four miles to Mill Spring
  • Turn left at a flashing yellow light onto NC 9
  • Proceed 100 yards and turn left onto Silver Creek Road
  • Follow for 5.5 miles to Palmer Road
  • Turn left on Palmer and follow to Bright’s Creek Golf Club

From Gastonia and Charlotte:

  • Proceed on I-85 south to exit 10 B/US 74 West
  • Take exit 167 Mill Spring
  • Turn right at top of ramp onto NC 9
  • At a flashing red light in Mill Spring go straight across
  • Take first left onto Silver Creek Road
  • Follow 5.5 miles to Palmer Road
  • Turn left on Palmer and follow to Bright’s Creek Golf Club

From Raleigh:

  • Proceed on I-40 West
  • Take exit 131 onto I-85 South
  • Take exit 10B onto US 74 West
  • Take exit 167 for Mill Spring
  • Turn right at top of ramp onto NC 9
  • At a flashing red light in Mill Spring go straight across
  • Take first left onto Silver Creek Road
  • Follow 5.5 miles to Palmer Road
  • Turn left on Palmer and follow to Bright’s Creek Golf Club

From Georgia:

  • Proceed on I-85 North
  • Merge onto I-26 West via exit 70 towards Columbia/Asheville
  • Take exit 67 Columbus/Tryon and turn right onto NC 108
  • Proceed approximately five miles to Mill Spring
  • Turn left at flashing yellow light onto NC 9
  • Take first left onto Silver Creek Road and follow for 5.5 miles to Palmer Road
  • Turn left on Palmer and follow to Bright’s Creek Golf Club
