Carolina Trace
Sanford, North Carolina

In the heart of the golf-rich Sandhills, Carolina Trace
blends
world-class amenities with a true sense of community.
Description
Carolina Trace is a nationally
recognized, award-winning, master-planned gated country club
community with 24-hour security on 2,500 acres of hardwoods,
piney forest and rolling hills
with ponds, creeks, and a 315-acre lake immersed throughout 19
distinctive neighborhoods in
the heart of the Sandhills of North Carolina.

The Creek Course’s 18th, a par-5, is surrounded by water on
three sides.
Two Championship Golf Courses within the gates...and More
Carolina Trace is distinguished by its 36 holes of
golf designed by legendary architect,
Robert Trent Jones, Sr.. Additional amenities include a
full-service Clubhouse, Pro Shop, Tennis, Fine Dining, Walking
Trails, Swimming, and more than 70 social activities ranging
from “A” (aerobics) to “Y” (yoga).

The tennis center features four Har-Tru courts, renowned for
their soft cushioning surface.
Friendly People and a True Sense of Community
In addition to world-class amenities, the community is
ideally located for people who value an active arts scene,
volunteerism and enjoy varied cultural experiences. Among the
many events and opportunities residents take advantage of within
minutes of Carolina Trace are Sanford’s professional theatre,
year-round festivals, world-class symphony, professional,
collegiate sporting events and flying lessons at Sanford’s
first-class regional airport that accommodates private jets.

Legendary designer Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed two
championship courses at Carolina Trace.
A Private, Member-Owned Country Club
Member-owned, Carolina Trace Country Club is a vibrant
center of physical, intellectual and social
life. One evening may include members taking Tango lessons in
preparation for a trip to Argentina
while others are listening to a member relate how she filmed a
documentary while others are in
the bar enjoying a drink and cheering for their favorite team.

A boat party vividly demonstrates an enviable sense of
community.
Dining, both fine and casual, is central to the community and the
community's Culinary
Institute of America-trained chef and his
staff create gourmet, black-tie, French-service dinners as well
as down-home, blue-jean, self-service barbeques. When potential
new members dine in the Club, they comment on how friendly and
welcoming members are to them and how comfortable they make them
feel.

The Lake Course’s par-3, 13th hole juts out into Lake Trace.
No matter your hobbies and interests, the camaraderie of members
is evident by the heavily
attended activities. For example, members enjoy drawing,
painting, wood-carving, gourmet
cooking and foreign-language classes, aerobics, pilates, yoga,
choruses, musical theatre groups,
gardening groups for men and women, dancing, karaoke, chartered
bus trips to local museums and attractions, fishing clubs, and
numerous golf groups and tournaments for men and women.
