The first Tiger Woods Design golf course in America brings |
|
international recognition to the Cliffs eighth community |
Description
The Cliffs at High Carolina is a gated, master-planned community in the four-season splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains, featuring the first Tiger Woods Design course in America.
With views extending more than 50 miles and elevations exceeding 4,000 feet, this community will unite a timeless architectural approach with the natural setting, complete with mountain springs, tumbling waterfalls, cool summer breezes and inspiring 360-degree views.
Tiger Woods, a winner of 14 major titles
and 65 PGA Tour events, took an immediate liking to The Cliffs.
"The views are awe-inspiring," he said. "And the land lends
itself to the creation of something very unique: a walkable
course with elevations reaching nearly 4,000 feet." The Cliffs' success record has also helped draw global attention, including the recent honor of 2007 CNBC's World's Best International Development.

Tiger Woods and Cliffs' Founder, Jim Anthony, walk the course at High Carolina.

A series of walking trails weave throughout the community, offering ample opportunity for exercise and exploration.
The look and feel of High Carolina has been inspired by the traditions of the Western Carolina mountains. Architecture will reflect a timeless approach to design that blends the elements of nature with a warm, appealing functionality.
A sense of community will be fostered through the diversity of residences--from close-knit village homes to the larger estate lots. A spring-fed lake, just below the meadows, will be bordered by a collection of homesites and plays a featured role in the golf course.

Membership with Unlimited Possibilities
At The Cliffs, membership delivers an unprecedented array of amenities and lifestyle opportunities. Membership in any one community offers access to over $150 million in completed amenities at all eight of the Cliffs locations.
For golf, this means eight championship courses crafted by the masters--Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Gary Player, Ben Wright, Tom Jackson, and now Tiger Woods. But The Cliffs offers much more than golf. Just as enticing is a comprehensive wellness program developed in partnership with renowned health and medical experts.

At The Cliffs, nature is blended with functionality and
luxury.
The Cliffs has gone further, envisioning and creating new international vacation properties in unique international destinations. Tailored for The Cliffs members and their families, these properties feature quaint lodges and a handful of rooms that provide a private paradise.
International properties are located in Patagonia, Chile; Kispiox River and Hakai Beach, British Columbia; and Cornish Cay in the Bahamas.
