Description
The Colony at the Grand occupies 175 inviting acres within the
grounds of the Grand Hotel on Mobile Bay in coastal Alabama.
The Colony residences are a place where the tradition of the
Grand Hotel amenities reach new heights.
History walks the halls of this storied hotel, originally
established in 1847. Today's resort and spa is lavishly
modern, with 36 holes of championship golf and four-diamond
accommodations, plus superior amenities.
The Dogwood Course is a newly renovated, 7,620-yard jewel
that winds through dogwoods, magnolias and towering oaks.
The par-72 Azalea Course is known for its signature 14th
hole, with a large island green surrounded by a four-acre
lake.

Colony at the Grand features 36 holes of Robert
Trent Jones golf.
The Grand offers fine dining, a full-service spa, a lavishly
landscaped pool, tennis courts and a tennis pro shop; sandy
beach and boardwalk, plus a yacht basin.
The pools at The Colony add even more privacy and enjoyment
for residents. Built in the resort's historic style, the
pool houses and terraces recall Julep Point and overlook the
lake and proposed amphitheater.
Overlooking the lake, the proposed amphitheater is the
setting for cultural events. Anchoring The Colony's
landscape and oriented toward sunset, the venue promises to
be a memorable site.

About the Area
The Eastern Shore and Fairhope have long been know as a haven
for artists and writers, attracting energetic, eclectic and
engaging personalities from around the south and beyond.
With a diverse mix of chic boutiques and vibrant restaurants
there’s no end to what you will discover throughout the
region.
The waters and beaches of the Gulf are forty minutes away,
by boat or by land. For nature trails, birding or rowing,
one need never leave the property.

Downtown Fairhope offers shopping, walking and more.
The charming village of Fairhope, Alabama lies on the
eastern shore of Mobile Bay looking like the movie set of an
American small town. Blossoms burst from planters and flower
boxes along every block of the tree-shaded downtown.
Wrought-iron balconies lend a bit of New Orleans
flavor—appropriate for a community that celebrates Mardi
Gras with a half dozen parades spread over more than two
weeks.
Couples could spend days contentedly browsing the boutiques,
art galleries, antiques shops, parks, and, most deliciously,
the restaurants. Day’s end brings a beautiful bonus: sunset
over the bay.
