Built in 1999, Sapelo Hammock was the first solo effort of designer Rusty Simmons, who more than hit the mark his first time out.

Though relatively tame, the front nine ends with a demanding par-5. The back nine is highlighted by the difficult par-3, No. 17, Sapelo Hammock's signature hole.
