Nova Scotia's Place to Play
Nova Scotia is consistently rated on of the best places to
vacation in North America (most recently by CNN’s
Money Line) and now there is a wonderful community there that
takes in all that "New Scotland" has to offer.
Called Fax Harb'r, the community offers golf, marina,
watersports and a championship golf course designed by Graham
Cooke.

The golf course was voted Best New Canadian Course 2001 by Golf
Digest.
Located on the picturesque north
shore of Nova Scotia, a Canadian province rich in tradition
and maritime hospitality, Fox Harb'r is named for the area
in which it resides and rests on a coastal peninsula near the
community of Wallace.
The Fox Harb'r course is a magnificent blend of both Scottish
links and traditional parkland golf, and was named "Best
New Canadian Course of 2001," by Golf Digest. One of
the best perks to purchasing home/homesite/townhome here is that
one golfing membership is included in the purchase price.
The outward nine lures you away from the sea to sheltered
forests, expansive wetlands and deep, rock-lined lakes. Winding
amidst tall spruce and sculptured terrain, each hole commands
its own unique setting and signature.

The par-3 Short Course has a lovely seaside location.
The Scottish flavor of the course is highlighted as the
inward nine draws you along the spectacular rugged sea coast of
the Northumberland Strait. Fields of rich waving fescue surround
and accent what residents here say is one of golf's finest
finishing nines.
Set
along the shoreline to capitalize on the ocean views, the 1,039-yard
par-3 Short Course is a fine compliment to its larger sibling.
Also designed by Cooke, this well maintained layout features
deceptively challenging holes ranging from 70 to 136 yards. It's
an ideal venue for working on your short game.
Harb'r
Quay
The Harb'r Quay offers residents, members and
guests a fully serviced deep-water marina. This sheltered
inland harbor incorporates protective stone breakwaters,
sheltering both the channel and dockside facilities. There are
25 slips and boats up to 80 feet in length can be
accommodated.

The marina is complemented by The Lighthouse at the Quay
restaurant.
A 63-foot luxury cabin cruiser is
available for private sightseeing tours and a 12-person
pontoon boat, 13 ft. sailboat and ocean kayaks are also
available. And for good food and fabulous sunsets, stop in at
The Lighthouse at the Quay, a favorite watering hole.
Additional amenities at Fox Harb'r
include a luxurious Clubhouse, which offers casual and formal
dining, a golf shop, and locker rooms, complete with luxury
amenities, including steam rooms. There are four Deco Turf™
tennis courts which overlook the ocean and the Fox Harb'r Spa
& Wellness Club, which is slated to open this summer, is a
stunning oceanfront facility which will offer guests extensive
spa treatments, fitness and aquatic facilities.

The clubhouse features fine dining, steam room, lockers and
other amenities.
