While Governors Club provides its members with a wide variety of
amenities, golf occupies center stage within the community. Here you
will find 27 holes of golf designed by Jack Nicklaus who combined
challenge and beauty in perfect harmony.

Be careful--the views can take your eye off your game.
The layout follows the contours of Edwards Mountain, skirting
serene lakes and quiet woodlands and winding through the neighborhoods
of Governors Club. This is a design that stimulates golfers to produce
their best games, rewarding those who think their way around the
course, rather than simply attempting to overpower it. You could play
here every day without losing your enthusiasm for the challenge that
awaits you on this magnificent Jack Nicklaus masterpiece
Play on six clay hydro tennis courts.
The tennis, fitness and swim facilities include six clay hydro courts, a pro
shop and snack bar with grill, an outdoor swimming pool, a children's
pool and playground, and an open-air pavilion. The fitness center
includes an indoor pool, cardiovascular weight and aerobics rooms,
shower facilities and an outdoor jogging path.

Museums, Festivals and More
Because of the areas historical significance, several museums of
local and national reputation are locate here. At the North Carolina
Museum of Art in Raleigh is one of the finest Dutch and Flemish
collections in the world, as well as works by American, Italian and
French impressionists.

Local dance festivals are a key part of area culture.
The North Carolina Museum of History, The North Carolina Museum of
Natural Sciences in Raleigh showcases the states wildlife, flora
and environment. The North Carolina Museum of Life and Science,
Durham, is a hands-on museum, with science experiments to try, animals
to pet and reptiles to admire.

Medical services are among the best in the country.
With two of the countrys finest medical schools close by,
residents of the Triangle area have access to a broad range of
advanced medical services. Durham, dubbed "The City of

Club Memberships
Governors Club membership is divided into three groups based on
Facility Use, Family and Residency which determine initial
contribution fees, dues, assessments and minimums.

Ask about the Custom Home Program.
Under Facility Use Memberships, Golf Members have unlimited
usage of the golf, pool, tennis, fitness and social facilities of the
Club. Golf members only pay cart fees ($15 for 18). The
current initial contribution fee for a Golf Membership is $30,000.

The Custom
Home Program
The Custom Home Program, established by Governors Club in 1992,
provides property owners with a list from which to select experienced
area builders, architects, landscape architects and interior
designers. The objective of each of the 31 Program members is to help
property owners design and build high-quality new homes in Governors
Club.

Interiors are warm and elegant.
Stone Brook
One of the most exciting new neighborhoods at Governors Club is
Stone Brook. Featuring
graceful tress, rolling terrain, picturesque lakes, and magnificent
homes.

Stone Brook homes come with an ample amenities package.
As a Stone Brook property owner, you'll have access to your own
private swimming pool, tennis courts, picnic area, cabana, and
playground. Its natural field stones and lush landscaping complement a
waterfall, connecting patios and pools.
There are
currently five floor plans to choose from and prices range from the
$400,000s to $700,000s. Homesites range in size from 1/4 to 1/2 acres

- Take exit 273B (Hwy. 54 West)
- Turn left at the
second light, which is Farrington Road
- Drive approximately 2 miles to
Farrington Mill Road and turn left
- Drive 4 miles to the stop sign at
Mt. Carmel Church Road and turn right
- Governors Club is 1/2 mile on
the left.
From Downtown Chapel Hill:
- Take Hwy. 15-501 (South) to Mt. Carmel Church Road and turn left
- Governors Club is 3.5 miles on the right.
From Raleigh/Durham International Airport:
- Follow signs to I-40 West to exit 273(B) (Hwy. 54 West)

Turn left
at the second light, which is Farrington Road.

miles to Farrington Mill Road and turn left.

- Governors Club is one mile on the left.
From 85 South:Take 85 South to 15-501 South
Take 15-501 South toward and around
Chapel HillAt one point, it will split and veer to the right. Follow the sign that says 15-501 South toward Pittsboro. That will
bring you to a traffic light. Turn left at that light. At the second
traffic light past that, turn left onto Mt. Carmel Church Road.
Governors Club is 3.5 miles on the right
