The course is a par-72 championship layout that opened in 2000 with Nancy Lopez and Patty Kirk Bell playing an exhibition round during grand opening ceremonies.

Right from the start, Horseshoe Bay Golf Club proved a popular and challenging experience. Golf Digest rated it the No. 3 private club in Wisconsin and Troon Golf named the club its "2003 Facility of the Year." Directions

From South 

• From Green Bay take Hwy 57 North to Sturgeon Bay
• Just south of Sturgeon Bay, Hwy 57 and Hwy 42 combine and then later split north of Sturgeon Bay
• Stay on Hwy 42 North thru Carlsville
• Take a left on Hwy G (watch for signs) at first stop sign (Horseshoe Bay Road)
• Turn right at first stop sign and proceed up the hill
• Visitor check-in is at Murphy's Barn on the right (look for the silo and flag)

  From North 

• Take Hwy 42 South thru Egg Harbor, (aprox. 3 miles, watch for signs)
• Turn right on Horseshoe Bay Road 
• Stay on Horseshoe Bay Rd about 1 mile
• The clubhouse will be on your right
