Description
The Preserve at Wolf Laurel is a private, gated, 1,300-acre
mountaintop community that adjoins Wolf Laurel Resort in the Blue Ridge
Mountains of North Carolina. With elevations over 4,800 feet, it provides

Home ownership at The Preserve brings access to both Wolf Laurel Resort and the
Wolf Laurel Country Club. Membership in the country club includes dining
privileges in the clubhouse, with its spectacular views and choice of casual or
gourmet cuisine.
Few golf courses in the eastern U.S. are set at a higher elevation than Wolf
Laurel Country Club, an 18-hole, par-72 mountain classic designed by William
Lewis. From tee to green the golf course experiences elevation changes of as
much as 310 feet on a single hole.

The Village outdoor pavilion seats 150+ for large gatherings.
Well appointed with indoor and outdoor facilities, the club can host receptions,
reunions and other large meetings in comfortable surroundings. The clubhouse
will accommodate groups up to 100 with banquet seating or conference groups of
up to 60 with classroom seating.
Saddle, Streams and Slopes
Wolf Laurel Stables is a well-established equestrian facility, comprising a barn
with trail-broken horses, a riding ring and knowledgeable guides. Beginner to
intermediate riders will savor 360-degree views of the mountains from the Wolf
Laurel network of trails.

the hiking enthusiast. Picturesque waterfalls and streams in old-growth forests
protect a variety of native birds, along with whitetail deer and wild turkey
Independently owned and located within the Wolf Laurel Resort, Ski Wolf Laurel
is a popular ski area with 54 acres of groomed trails, 14 runs up to one mile in
length, and 100 percent snowmaking coverage. It has two chairlifts and is
lighted for night skiing.

Special Places to Gather and Explore
The Village at Wolf Laurel offers its own cluster of amenities. It is home three
Har-Tru tennis courts, a heated swimming pool, basketball court, sand volleyball
court, a stocked trout pond with a covered overlook and fishing pier, plus a
playground, tree fort and outdoor skills area.

The pavilion features features an outdoor kitchen and stone fireplace.
Also at the Village, an outdoor pavilion provides seating for 150-plus and
includes an outdoor kitchen, stacked-stone fireplace and restroom facilities for
the adjoining heated pool. This dramatic setting is ideal for family gatherings
and other group functions.
Historic Buck Town
Historic Buck Town is comprised of eleven acres including a wonderfully
preserved 4,472 square foot Colonial Revival House built in 1904, two
springhouses, a frame apple/canning house and an old store.
The Buck House, built entirely of old chestnut and poplar from the surrounding
mountains, represents the most intact example of an early 20th century North
Carolina mountain settlement and is listed on the National Register of Historic
Places.
