Unique in New England
There is no private golf community like The River Highlands in New
England. For starters it's the only PGA TOUR
golf course in New England, so once a year residents rub elbows with the
world's greatest golfers when the club hosts the Greater Hartford
Open.

River Highlands is the only PGA TOUR golf course in
New England.
Secondly, when you become a member at the River Highlands' PGA TOUR Tournament Players Club facility, your
membership entitles you to playing privileges at
all the other clubs in the TPC network.
Then as a
resident, you enjoy both pool and tennis privileges. In addition, whether you
choose either an Executive Social Membership or a Full Golf Membership,
your membership is guaranteed to be available at a preferred rate.
Members have access to the pool and tennis courts.
An Award-Winning Team
The River Highlands is a winning community via a
variety of yardsticks. Golf Digest nominated the Tournament Players Club
for its highly coveted
"Best New Golf Courses in America" award in 1991, when it opened
for play. It was also voted "Best
Private Golf Course" in Connecticut by CT Golfer Online.
The residential community has also been the
winner of multiple national and state awards, including the 1996 National
Association of Home Builders (NAHB) "Community of the Year." And
the annual Greater
Hartford Open, which is hosted by The River Highlands, is the largest-attended, and consistently one of the most
successful, tournaments of the PGA TOUR.
Also, note that The River Highlands TPC golf course is a Fully Certified Audubon Cooperative
Sanctuary. This designation means that a course has been granted
Certificates of Achievement by Audubon International in six categories
including Environmental Planning and Wildlife and Habitat Management. For
a complete description of the Audubon program, click here.
Home to the PGA TOUR's GHO Open.
The River Highlands development team is comprised of The Daylar
Group of Connecticut and the PGA
TOUR. The community is an excellent example of how the skills and creativity of Daylar
and its principals work together to conceive a project, assemble a team, and
develop and implement the project plan. It was Daylars land plan
that provided the PGA TOUR a dramatic canvas on which to create the
magnificent TPC at River Highlands golf course.
Real Estate
When you move to The River Highlands, you'll enjoy
maintenance-free, resort-at-home living in a setting of natural beauty. More than two-thirds of The River Highlands' 220 acres
are preserved as unspoiled open space and golf course. There will
be only a total of 202 units and less than 20 remain.
The
professionally staffed on-site Design Center is where you will personalize your home.
Nancy Perkins, who has a degree from Iowa State in Arts and
Design, will work within your budget and ensure that your new home
will reflect your personality and lifestyle.
Outdoor chores are completely taken care of by
your Homeowners Association, so you can kiss good-by those endless household
chores of mowing the lawn, raking the leaves and shoveling the snow. Your home, and all of the homes around
you, are beautifully tended in every season.... and you won't have to
lift a finger.
Sample Estate Home.
River Highlands' award-winning homes are carefully sited on the highest points of
land to command sweeping views of the adjacent Connecticut River and the greens,
lakes, and rivers of the golf course. Most of the spectacular,
free-standing estate-home designs offer first-floor master bedroom suites
and provide unsurpassed quality construction with many amenities that are
standard. A ranch-style home design is also available.
The Estate Homes At Highland Ridge
The Estate Homes At Highland Ridge are the community's
top-line address. They have everything--stunning river views and
outstanding designs and features. See below for details:
- Innovatively designed Estate Homes with volume ceilings and
expansive glass opening to golf course and water vistas
- Dramatic homes with luxurious master suites upstairs or down with
elegant tiled master bath and designer kitchens with cheerful
breakfast nooks
- An unbeatable location high on a majestic bluff overlooking the
Connecticut River in Cromwell, close to Hartford commercial centers,
shopping, entertainment and the festive lifestyles of the quaint River
towns
- A community of 98 detached single-family Estate Homes sited on the
highest point of land to command sweeping views of the river and
greens, lakes and fairways of the Club's golf course
- Time to appreciate your country club lifestyle since outdoor chores
such as mowing, raking and landscaping are all taken care of by your
Homeowners Association.
A special neighborhood at Highland Ridge will be Belhaven.
Located on the 12th hole, residents will have both golf course and
Connecticut River views. Seasonal views offer expansive vistas of the river
and Glastonbury and Portland Hills. And of course, the autumn foliage
seems to set the surround hillsides on fire.
Enjoy sweeping views both inside as well as out.

Window walls, fireplaces and soaring ceilings create a
luxurious environment.
Executive Relocation Services
For any executive relocating to Connecticut, The River Highlands
is a must-see simply because of the easy 15-minute commute to
Hartford.
Many of homeowners have relocated into the area due
to career considerations. They have commented that they might not have
accepted a job offer, or a transfer, if it were not for The River
Highlands. In fact, if you were to read the list of homeowners here,
it would read like a Who's Who of Business in Hartford and Middlesex
counties.
These executives and their spouses cited that they
were relocating from a golf course community and wanted to continue
their lifestyle, or they were considering golf course living at the
time the job offer or transfer presented itself.
Open spaces provide multiple use options.
By design, The River Highlands offers its residents countless benefits
to enhance or maintain their lifestyle. Connecticut companies have
frequently used the community's relaxed lifestyle to enhance the
attractiveness of offers they make to prospective employees and
transfers. For many businesses, it's their secret weapon in attracting
and maintaining valuable talent.
