Riverwood a Singular Success
Riverwood Golf & Country Club strives to be unique among Southwest

The front nine of the par-72 championship golf
course flows through heavily wooded terrain, rich in stands of natural
pine. The back nine meanders amid salt marsh and wetlands,
with no parallel fairways on the course.
Surrounded by
lush landscaping and native vegetation, each hole is a challenge, taking
advantage of its natural setting.
At the
Golf
Learning
Center you'll find an area specifically designed for practicing approach,
chip, and sand wedge shots, as well as an 18-hole putting course. These
separate areas enable golfers to practice the use of every club in their
bag and enhance all aspects of their game.

The Beach Club
Reason No. 3 for Riverwood's singular standing is its private, custom-built Beach Club, just north of the
public beach in Englewood and situated right on the Gulf of
Mexico.
The new Beach Club sits on the Gulf of Mexico.
Membership involves a one-time initiation fee and annual dues. Shuttle
transportation is planned for members from Riverwood to the Beach Club
several times a day during the season, and private parking for 28
vehicles is also available.
The Beach Club is a 5,500-sq.-ft., cabana-style, wooden structure,
housing showers, restrooms, commercial ice machine, chilled drinking
water fountain, baby-changing facility, office area and storage.
The huge covered deck, complete with towering palm tree feature, has
built-in seating, ceiling fans and plenty of space for dancing and
entertaining. Charcoal
grills are also provided, along with picnic tables.

An elevated wooden walkway leads directly to the beach, with sand chairs
and loungers being provided by the attendant.
Access is controlled through membership card operated gates, with coded
entry systems protecting the internal facilities.
