Stirring Natural Beauty
Tucked along the southwest shores of Upper Klamath Lake in the
shadow of the regal Cascade mountain range, the Running Y Ranch Resort
dates back to the late 1800s when pioneers transformed the wild
countryside to farmland, and farmland into a working cattle ranch.

Running Y covers 6,000 acres devoted to outdoor activities.
The property is surrounded by rugged terrain that is an outdoor
enthusiasts dream. To the southeast, in Oregon's Outback, antelope,
bighorn sheep, and mule deer clamber up rocky slopes. In the wetlands,
pelicans, herons, swans, and the largest concentration of wintering
Bald Eagles provide world-class bird watching.
Ideal for Outdoor Activities
Running Y is working to preserve this delicate ecosystem by
restoring up to 1,440 acres of former marshland to its original state,
providing not only additional water-cleansing capabilities for the
lake, but also recreational opportunities for hikers, bird watchers,
and canoeists.

The Klamath Lake area is a canoeist's dream come true.
The Ranch is paradise for canoeists in particular. Push off at the
resort's north end, near the golf course’s 5th tee. Paddle across
Klamath Lake's glassy surface or along ancient Native American canoe
routes to one of Klamath Basin's seven bird sanctuaries. The Canoe
Trail of Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge offers guided
interpretive canoe tours.

Where the fly-fishing is the best.
You can take a Self-Guided Nature Tour on foot or by
bike along Upper Klamath Lake (Oregon's largest natural lake) into
Caledonia Marsh, where youll discover a diverse population of
wildlife such as mountain chickadee, coyotes, mule deer, and more.
Naturally Splendid Golf
Given such a magnificent natural environment, the golf course had
to be not only well-designed, but it also had to carefully integrate
itself within the environmentally sensitive Oregon landscape. As a
member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System, the course also
helps preserve and enhance the environmental quality of the property.
Arnold Palmer and his design team succeeded and then some. The
Running Y Ranch Golf Course is consistently recognized as one of the
best in the state and is ranked No. 51 in the Top "100 Public Courses in
America," by Golf Digest, 2003/2004.

An award-winning course with stunning views.
Back to Top The front nine takes you through flowing meadows and restored
wetlands. On the back nine youll play beside lakes, woodlands and
into Payne Canyon. With five tee boxes at each hole, this memorable
track welcomes skills of all levels. As a member of the Audubon
Cooperative Sanctuary System, the course also helps preserve and
enhance the environmental quality of the property.
Your golf fees cover the use of The Clubhouse, which features a
fully-equipped golf shop where you can sign up for lessons, rent a set
of clubs, shop for men and women's apparel, or just chat with the
friendly pros at the Snack Bar.

flight.
All residences and homesites have underground utilities including
natural gas, electric, water, sewer, phone and cable. Additionally,
there are no time requirements to build at the Running Y.

Homes enjoy golf, water and mountain views.
Running Y offers a number of pre-designed semi-custom homes. Created
to complement the slope configurations of their hillside locations, all
homes offer panoramic views of the valley below.
Running Y’s low-maintenance 3- and 4-bedroom townhomes feature golf
course and lake vistas or private forest settings. They are ideal for
either a permanent or second home.

View from The Meadows at Running Y.
The newest offering at Running Y is The Meadows, a custom home
community of estate homesites. This extraordinary neighborhood
represents some of Running Y’s finest offerings, with homesites
averaging over three-quarters of an acre in size and featuring expansive
views of Klamath Lake, nearby city lights and the Running Y Ranch.
Back to Top Another option are the Pelican Springs Chalets. These charming,
ridge-top “cabin in the pines” Chalets offer spectacular views of
Klamath Lake, distant mountains, nearby valleys and the golf course
fairways. Available in either two- or three- bedroom models, with or
without garages, with tall windows and decks, they represent exceptional
values.

Quality Construction
Each builder at The Running Y Ranch Resort is backed by a history
of sound principles, quality workmanship, and satisfied customers,
according to the members of the Running Y sales and marketing team.
For example, sales executives have worked with CCORP Companies at its
Eagle Crest Resort and now at The Running Y, resulting in some of the
most spectacular custom homes on the property. CCORP boasts half a
century of experience.
Abundant Natural Treasures
Running Ys lakeside location offers you easy access to many of
Oregon great natural wonders. Begin your exploring by traveling the
Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway. One of only nine All-American Roads in
the nation, it runs right across Running Ys doorstep. The Byway
meanders from Crater Lake National Park to the Upper Klamath National
Wildlife Refuge on Klamath Lake, offering spectacular views around
every bend.

Spectacular views year-round at Crater Lake National Park.
Just 54 miles north of The Running Y is America's deepest lake,
Crater Lake. A caldera left by the eruption and collapse of Mt. Mazama,
it plunges nearly 2,000 feet and its shinning cobalt beauty has made
the park an international attraction.
Trek along the north shoreline into Winema National Forest (20
miles from Running Y) for hiking, biking, climbing, and picnicking.
Explore surrounding areas by following the Lake Ewauna Interpretive
Trail or hiking into Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuge. Bikes are
available for rental per hour or by day.
