The Ultimate Lifestyle
Thirty-five miles west of Los Angeles and adjacent
to Westlake Village and Thousands Oaks, Sherwood Country Club is located
in beautiful Hidden Valley, where it is home to a magnificent community,
countless ancient oak trees, glittering Lake Sherwood and the Target World
Challenge presented by Williams.

Hidden Valley, the home of Sherwood C.C.
When developer David Murdock first set eyes on the
area and took in the stunning views of the surrounding Santa Monica
Mountains, he knew in a second that it was the place to build a
world-class, country club community that would redefine the phrase
"golf lifestyle."
A Jack Nicklaus Signature Course
The raw materials of Sherwood Valley itself could not have
been better suited to his vision. To this Eden-like setting he
added a championship, "Signature" golf course
designed by Jack Nicklaus. Nicklaus was obviously pleased with
his creation at Sherwood and even went so far as to say that
the 18th hole, a 446-yard dogleg right par-4,
ranked among the most spectacular finishing holes he ever
created.
Mountain views, lush landscaping.
The Signature holethe mystical No. 6is the one
you cant miss, though. Set in front of a rugged,
mountainous backdrop, this memorable hole sports seventhats
rightseven waterfalls. Although this par-3 measures 186
yards, youll think its a lot longer when you look at it
from the tee and gaze upon the mountains in the distance.
Home of the "Shark Shootout"
For 11 years Greg Norman hosted the
"Franklin Templeton Shark Shootout." Two-man teams
of PGA Tour Professionals competed in this nationally
televised weekend event, treating TV viewers to a glimpse of
the courses natural elevations and valleys.

The Signature Hole, the par-3 No. 6
Now Tiger Woods is the star of the show (which he won last
year). And while Woods and his guests take on the course’s
scenic challenges, viewers can vicariously walk through the
course's lake, creek beds, unique rock formations,
600-year-old oak trees and luxuriously carpeted fairways.
Woods and his cohorts have to hit from the back tees, but
members can take the track at their own pace with a choice of
four of sets of tees that makes the course play from 5,582
yards to 7,025 yards.
Two Stylish Clubhouses
Sherwood features two Georgian-style clubhouses which are
the focal point of social and sporting activities. The main
clubhouse is 54,000 square feet and offers fine dining, social
activities, locker rooms and pro shop, and spectacular views
of the lush course and surrounding mountains.

The Tennis Club features three court surfaces.
Tennis great Stan Smith designed the Tennis Club and Spa
complex, which has its own 19,000-square foot clubhouse and a
rare combination of grass, clay and hard surface courts.
Croquet is big here, too, with a pair of championship courts
that accommodate tournaments and spectators with immaculate,
terraced lawns.
Also on the grounds is an Olympic-sized
swimming pool and European Health Spa, where exercise classes
and personal care services are provided.
