Begin with a Celebrated Golf Course
The array of amenities at Stonehouse begin
with the magnificent golf course that golf architect Mike
Stranz has fashioned from the community's naturally dramatic
topography. The course features steep bluffs and ridges,
ravines and streams, and beautiful tree-lined fairways. The
Traditions Golf Course of Stonehouse will challenge golfers of
all levels.
Golfers may choose from a variety of membership options.
Including one membership which allows play at two other highly
rated local course – Royal New Kent and Kiskiak.

The golf
course provides a challenge for players of all levels.
There is plenty to admire: greens cling to
steep bluffs and ridges before dropping down to natural
streams. Dramatic elevation changes, deep ravines, and tree
lined fairways take you up and down and through the course on
a roller coaster-like journey through stunning Virginia
countryside. Traditions has slopes of 140 degrees and a course
rating of 75.0 from the blue markers, measuring 6,963 yards,
par 72.

The golf clubhouse takes the Stonehouse name literally.
It was no surprise, then, that when the
year-end rankings came out, Golf Digest named the
Traditions of Stonehouse the "Best New Upscale Course"
in the U.S. Stonehouse was also one of the key reasons Strantz
was named "Hottest Golf Course Architect of the
Year" for 1998 by Golf World magazine
