Description Sun City Vistoso takes pride in its classic Del Webb design. The community broke ground in 1986 with the final homes built in 1996. Today it is built-out with nearly 2,500 homes designed in many sizes and styles from efficiently compact to attractively spacious and spread across 1,000 acres of lush Sonoran desert landscape. With 36 percent of the land allocated to common area. When residents aren’t taking in the scenery, they get active with more than 130 clubs offering arts, sports, dance, games, classes, and of course a Greg Nash designed championship 18-hole golf course.
Recreational amenities include two swimming pools, one an Olympic-sized, a sports/fitness complex, an artisan complex including a state-of-the-art woodshop, sewing center, silversmith lab, clay and ceramics design studios and a dance studio, plus courts for tennis, racquetball and pickleball.
The Views Golf Club plays through dramatic arroyos to large greens that are subtly elevated and contoured. The par-4 hole No. 9, which is highlighted by spectacular mountain views, was voted one of Tucson's "Dream 18."
There is good reason why it's called The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley. It’s a spectacular experience in desert golf. The Views has earned a reputation as a hidden gem in the rich Southern Arizona golf scene. Starting with the No. 1 elevated tee shot to the challenging approach on number 18, every aspect of your game will be put to the test. It is challenging for every skill level. A Tradition of Lifelong Learning The community also has its own library with 20,000 titles, including such items as books, DVDs, books on CD and large print books. The University of Arizona and Pima Community College are also nearby.
It's just three miles to a major new shopping center, with a multi-screen movie theater. Also within three miles is the state-of-the-art Oro Valley Hospital. Fire and police stations, emergency-response capability is onsite. Residents are social—hiking, day-tripping, traveling, playing cards and hosting gourmet dinners. They are also volunteers, tutors, serving on committees, patrolling with the Posse (the neighborhood watch), ushering special events and giving a helping hand to those in need.
