Nicklaus Golf and Desert Living
With two Nicklaus-designed courses,
Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club is a dramatic
expression of Arizona living at its finest. Situated in the
foothills of the legendary Superstition Mountains, this
private, guard-gated community features a lush Sonoran
landscape and a desert lifestyle of relaxed, elegant
simplicity.
Enjoy mountain views from the Lost Gold golf
course.
A private community recognized as one of the most thoughtfully planned in the
Southwest, Superstition Mountain features unique Villa residences, custom homes and
homesites overlooking 36 holes of championship golf.
Designed by the renowned team of Jack Nicklaus and
his sons, Jack II and Gary, the Prospector and
Lost Gold golf courses have received much praise and
recognition. Opened in the spring
of 1998, Prospector's signature hole is the
par-5, 18th--a beautifully sculpted hole with a slight dogleg
and an oasis-like lake running up the left side.
Further recognition arrived in 2001 when Superstition Mountain Golf
and Country Club was awarded The Countrywide Tradition, the first
major championship on the SENOR PGA TOUR. The 2002 event was held April
23-28. For more information, call the tournament office at
(480) 595-4070.

The green of the fairways provides a sharp contrast to the
desert.
Lost Gold is a links-styled course that presents a
different set of challenges for golfers. It serves as the coda
to the
legendary Superstition Mountain trail as it weaves through
magnificent desert terrain explored centuries ago by
conquistadors in search of the golden cities of Cibola.
The Club offers Golf and Social memberships. Both are by
invitation only and are offered to property owners and on a
limited basis to non-property owners. Both memberships include
access to the Clubhouse and planned health and fitness center.
The Developer
The Lyle Anderson Companies have also developed
other communities: Desert Highlands,
Scottsdale, Arizona; Desert Mountain, Scottsdale, Arizona; Las Campanas, Santa Fe, New Mexico;
Loch Lomond Golf Club, Scotland, and Hokuli'a on the Big
Island of Hawaii's Kona Coast.
The Prospector course offers views of the Superstition Mountain.
Each of these private clubs and
communities are renowned for providing memorable golf
experiences within their superbly-planned residential
environment.
Real Estate Opportunities
The community offers homesites with both mountain and golf
course views and luxurious Villas, as well as custom homes
constructed by the area's most renowned builders. Whatever living option you
choose, you'll enjoy each
village's distinctive characteristics and the views of the
dramatic Sonoran Desert landscape.
