Description
The Georgia Club is a master-planned golf community
celebrating the best that Georgia has to offer. In its prime location
45 miles east of Atlanta and 10 miles west of Athens, The Georgia Club
allows an easy pace of life while energetically upgrading its
amenities.
Central focus of the community is the 37,000-square-foot clubhouse,
which completed a major expansion and renovation in fall 2007 to
accommodate more than 340 guests. This includes
an expansion of the building’s ballroom wing by some 12,000 square feet of space.

The 37,000 square foot clubhouse is the heart of the
community.
Events and gatherings also take place at Village Hall, a charming new
neighborhood center featuring hardwood floors, chandeliers, a
mezzanine balcony and a vaulted ceiling—ideal as a setting for
receptions, parties and meetings.

The Chancellors Golf Course
The flexibility and variety of the 27-hole Chancellors course help
make golf a prime amenity at The Georgia Club. Designed by Denis
Griffiths, the course’s three returning nines are marked by
eye-catching contours and a wide variety of shot requirements.

The 7th hole of the award-winning Chancellors course.
The par-3s and par-5s make up the heart of this 27-hole layout, which
added its third nine in spring of 2006. The par-5s are definitely for
the adventurous, offering many opportunities to reach the green in
two.
The golf club recently expanded its practice area by adding a bunker
and green designed for chipping and pitching practice. The upgrade makes the
practice center nearly nine acres in size, including a driving range
and a second practice putting green.

The water could be mistaken for glass at the 8th hole.

Fitness Center & More
The fitness center at the The Georgia Club offers the latest in
cardio and strength technology, plus an aerobics room, a fitness/tennis
pro shop, and locker rooms with steam and sauna facilities. Personal
training, pilates, aerobics, and water aerobics are just a few of the
programming options available.
The Swim Park is home to a 25-meter junior Olympic swimming pool and
an adult lap pool. Residents stay cool and relaxed here thanks to a Cabana Bar and Grill and
a children's playground. The tennis complex features six lighted Har-Tru courts.

Both Olympic and lap pools make it easy to enjoy the warm
Georgia sun.
Southern Living
Following the success of the 2004 Southern Living Idea House at The
Georgia Club, the partnership continues with the introduction of the
Southern Living Custom Home Plan Collection at The Georgia Club.
The Collection currently includes seven floor plans, ranging in size
from 3,400 to more than 4,500 square feet, not including basements.
Enhancements to the plans include enlarging some room sizes, expanding
ceiling heights, creating two-and-a-half and three-car garages,
enhancing kitchens and bathrooms, and creating outdoor rooms.
