Located just off of Northwest Florida 's Scenic Highway 30A, just west of Panama City Beach, there is a water and sand experience of a different sort at the Tom Fazio-designed Camp Creek Golf Club. This private golf course is master-planned for 36 holes, the first 18 of which opened for play in May 2001 along with a driving range, golf shop, and snack bar.

promises to be that rare place that combines the spirit

retreat, St. Joe executives say. WaterSound
Beach
is master-planned to include 499 residences, as well as a
village center, community gathering spaces, landscaped parks,
and numerous recreational and social buildings.

These structures will be an artful
interpretation of a continuing tradition of living along the
water--buildings constructed in harmony with the natural
environment and focused on a connection to the

As WaterSound Beach evolves, plans are for a village gateway along Scenic Highway 30A to anchor the community. A corner market is planned to mark the entrance and provide a gathering spot for the community. Other shopping will be clustered in this area. One- and two-bedroom lofts are planned above the ground-floor retail to enhance the spirit of the village gateway.
Throughout WaterSound Beach, landscaped parks and green spaces are intended to foster a sense of camaraderie and the spirit of old-fashioned holidays along the coast. A traditional yacht pond inspired by the traditional water features of classical urban parks, such as Kensington
Gardens, Central Park, and Luxembourg Gardens, is planned for a prominent spot in the community.

WaterSound Beach Club, a private beach club, will feature a large swimming pool, generous terraces for sunning and relaxing, and a casual restaurant and bar.
The first neighborhood of WaterSound Beach is Bridges, a collection of 93 generous homesites and The Crossings, which contains 81 multi-family residences.
