Description
Wexford Plantation is a 500-acre yachting
and golf community with a manned deepwater harbor and a
classically contoured golf course by Willard Byrd. Though its
gated entrance is near the desirable shopping and dining
districts of sophisticated Hilton Head Island, the community feels
secluded and unspoiled throughout.

Security and privacy are hallmarks of
Wexford, which first opened in 1982. Not only is the community
gated, but roving guards know the property owners personally and
are ready to comply with special security requests.

In addition, Wexford offers its property
owners the unique ability to dock their boats next to private
homes via a lock system which maintains a proper minimum depth
of water through tide changes. This allows boat owners to bring
vessels up to 75 feet long into the community from the
Intracoastal Waterway.
Only homeowners and their guests are
permitted to use Wexford’s golfing, tennis, yachting and pool
facilities. Club membership is an
option for all property owners. Currently there are about 400
members.
The 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Willard
Byrd.
The golf course averages fewer than 50
rounds a day and is staffed by a head professional and three
assistants. The community’s harbor-front, multi-million-dollar
clubhouse has a dining room noted for its superior cuisine,
private rooms available for parties, and a swimming pool and
tennis complex.

From 1-95 North or South
- Connect to Route 278 East via Exit 8
- Follow for 21 miles over main island bridge onto Hilton
Head Island
- Merge left onto the Cross Island Parkway (toll road)
- Continue
at end of Cross Island Parkway onto Palmetto Bay Road
- Enter traffic circle and
proceed 3/4ths of the way around, onto 278/William Hilton Parkway
- Continue for
1.1 miles
- Turn left onto Wexford Club Drive
